• Building a strong reputation for and strategic further development of the Research Group in the thematic fields of social sustainability, labour, and socioeconomic aspects of digitalisation in the agri-food sector             
• Professional, human resource and financial management of the Group according to the strategy of Agroscope and the 'Sustainability Assessment and Agricultural Management' Research Division             
• Continuous further development of your own research and of the professional and methodological portfolio of the Research Group             
• Publication of the research findings in international scientific journals and in the specialist agricultural press            
• Developing and cultivating national and international networks in the Group's research field            
• Developing and publishing scientific principles for the attention of the Federal Office for Agriculture            

This makes you unique

• PhD in Agroeconomics, Rural Sociology or related research area closely linked to the research field of the Group            
• Proven expertise in qualitative and quantitative empirical social research methods            
• Scientific track record in the Group's research field and experience in the acquisition of third-party funding            
• Good leadership qualities: leadership and management skills (inspiring others with enthusiasm, working in a goal-oriented manner, managing processes)             
• Good knowledge of two official Swiss languages and good English
