All living organisms contribute to the functioning and stability of ecosystems thanks to their biological diversity and different functions. Many of their traits are determined in their DNA. The 'Molecular Agroecology and Plant Ecology' Research Group works on and supports scientific research projects concerning genetic and genomic diversity with cutting-edge molecular-biological, bioinformatic and biostatistical approaches. The 'Userlab Sample Preparation and Analysis' Team at our Reckenholz site is currently being created. Protocols, equipment and databases are being updated and consolidated, and transport with the Central Laboratory in Posieux is being established.
